On April 7th, 2019 Miss Veronica Mars crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Veronica was a rescue dog from the South, who lived at Eva’s Play Pups for the past 4 years. Her spicy attitude was perfect for camp life, and although she had difficulties living in the regular world outside of camp, she was a good friend to our campers and camp counselors at Eva’s. She was our very special spicy girl! Veronica passed peacefully surrounded by her family at camp who held and comforted her until the end.

“To My Rescuers”

I'd like to say thank you for all that you did
I wasn’t always the easiest, who am I to kid?

But you took me in anyway and showed me love
I'll carry it with me across the rainbow bridge above

My life before was scary, mistreated and abused
When I came to you I was in need of the compassion I had been refused.

It took time for me to trust. and time for me to heal
Some wounds, despite time, just wouldn't heal.

But you gave me a second chance at life, one I needed dearly.
And I began to be myself again, when I understood your intentions clearly.

All the tail wags in the world and all the kisses filled with drool,
Won’t be able to show, just how much your kindness meant to this furry fool.

Just know that I am grateful, for all that you've sacrificed for me and done.
And know that in my heart deep down, my friendship and love you have won.

I'm crossing over the rainbow bridge high up in the sky
I'll see you here too someday, so this isn’t a final goodbye.
